The United States is a good place to live! Quote from a first grade ELL Level 1 student

A first grade ELL Level 1 student was asked to write an essay giving three reasons why you should visit the US. Instead, since he has recently moved to the US, he asked if he could write three reasons why the US in a great place to live.
Please click on the United States of America.mp3 link to listen to the essay.

You should visit....

The ELL Level 1-grades 3-5 students want to persuade you to visit countries around the world. Each student researched about a country they chose, wrote an essay and recorded a podcast episode of their essays.
Please listen to the readings and decide if you should visit...
I think you will feel very tempted.

Fifth Grade Thanksgiving Performance

Butterflies in your stomach!!!   The fifth grade students had butterflies in their stomachs before they performed their plays to a group of students, teachers, principals and friends.  The level 2 fifth graders performed a play called "Great-Grandma Annie's Yo-yo" and the level 3 students acted in a play named "Pushing Up the Sky."  The plays were performed to perfection and were enjoyed by all who attended.

Go Big Red!

The fourth and fifth grade ELL students learned about our Nebraska Big Red culture when they went on a field trip to Memorial Stadium.  Two excellent tour guides showed them the press box, the field, the tunnel walk, weight room and much more.  What a fun and informative time they had!!
